2019 DSA Convention Delegates: Welcome to Atlanta!

HOW TO GET AROUND ATLANTA

MARTA

MARTA (Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) is Atlanta’s public train and bus system. It runs 4:45 am until 1:00 am. The regular MARTA fare is $2.50 for a one-way trip. Fare must be added to a reloadable Breeze Card ($2) or a $1 disposable paper ticket. However, you may pay exact cash on buses only. You can purchase the fare card or ticket, along with fare, at all MARTA rail stations or online. (There are additional fare options and discounts for children, students, disabled individuals, senior citizens and groups)

Taking the bus? Download the MARTA On the Go app for up-to-date schedules and live mapping.

Protip: If you’re flying into Hartsfield-Jackson, you can take a MARTA train straight up to Peachtree Center Station to access the convention hotel.

Streetcar

The Atlanta Streetcar serves downtown and the Sweet Auburn district. You may purchase fare from vending machines at streetcar stops (cash, card), or you may load your fare onto an existing MARTA Breeze card.

    • Adult one-way trips: $1
    • One-day pass: $3, One-week pass: $11

Rental bikes

Relay Bike Share has bikes around the city, including downtown near the convention hotel. Cost is $3.50 for 30 mins; 15 cents/minute after. View bike station map.
